Welcome to the home base of Sassyangelac, storyteller, freelance writer, and distance runner.  This is the launching pad and resting place for  Sassology--a working anthology featuring a creative blend of Sassyangelac's stories, poetry, articles, and amateur photography. 

Sassyangelac is so many things, but for the purposes of a snappy introduction, Sassy started blogging several years ago about life and running on third party sites until a rag-tag regular readership was formed that eventually grew into a fan base.   When her work became spread out over too many sites Sassy finally took the plunge to claim her own virtual space to pull it all together.  When she created this site to be her online literary workshop, Sassology was born and Sassy graduated from blogger to storyteller. 

Be advised that Sassy makes up words from time to time and deliberately misuses grammar for effect whenever it would be funnier to write it wrong (see how it works?).  Nothing here has been professionally edited and you will catch old typos and omissions all the time.  There will also be references to things that are not immediately obvious to the reader but there is a working glossary of terms under the Showcase tab to explain those things.

Since alot of Sassy's memoir-type essays are based on personal experiences and memories, they are chock full of interpretations, personal bias, and embellishments.  The characters appearing in the stories, essays, and poems are either completely fictitious, legendary, sasso-mythological, symbolic, figurative, metaphorical, or a fictionalized amalgam of more than one character and/or created of more than one interpretive representation as it pleased Sassy to write them, how she remembered them, or how they filtered through her experience to arrive at the peak of storytelling ripeness.
